Collari withdraws Aigen entry

Winner of the opening round of the Euro Nitro Series in Melzo, Italy, after a thrilling battle with Robert Pietsch, Lamberto Collari has, due to commitments of being also a track owner, had to with draw his entry for Round 2 this weekend in Aigen. The 9-time World Champion has become a keen supporter of the new onroad nitro championship highly praising the running of the opening round but with his Lamberto Collari Raceway set to host its biggest race to date, the European 1:8 B Championship, later this month the work load means he had to make the decision to skip Round 2 committing to return for Round 3 in Hockenhiem, Germany, next month. While many drivers usually fail to inform race organisers of such a decision we must compliment Collari for taking the time to send the ENS/Red RC the following statement –
Ciao ENS/RedRC,
I wish to inform all racers and fans that unfortunately (despite making my entry) I cannot make it to Aigen for Round 2 of ENS championship due to many reasons… The most important one is the upcoming Euro B 1/8 Onroad Championships that will be held at “Lamberto Collari Raceway” at the end of this month. As a first time promoter of this event my efforts are all focused to organize as best I can, with the help of my team, this race at one of the most historical locations for our category.I look forward to challenge again with the best competitors in the world in the third round of ENS in Hockenheim; despite many years racing all over the world I really enjoy above all the high-end competition. I hope you wouldn’t mind my absence but I really believe that also Euro B drivers deserve our attention to encourage them to race as often as possible.
Hope to see all of you in Bologna in 3 weeks…
Ciao
Lamberto Collari

While Collari is absent, Italy, the spiritual home of onroad nitro racing is still more than well represented with Daniele Ielasi, Dario Balestri, Francesco Tironi, Andrea Pirani and Mirko Salemi all here ready to battle to become the second Italian ENS winner of the inaugural season.
