Having successfully hosted the concluding round of the inaugural Euro Nitro Series last year, the growing championship returns to the Mini Autodromo Jody Scheckter track once again for the fourth and final round with both 2015 ENS Champions set to be crowned at the world famous Italian track.  Located just 500m metres from Ferrari’s Fiorano test track and just a 5-minute drive away from the Ferrari factory, the track was built in 1996. Covering an area of 13,000 square metres, the impressive facility was the vision of Racing Minicar Fiorano club president Angelo Gesualdi who got the city of Fiorano to support the track by providing the land to the club.

A 297 metre long track,  when the track was being built and in keeping with the huge motoring history of the area it was decided to name the track after Ferrari’s last world champion Jody Scheckter with the 1979 World Champion giving an official endorsement to name the track after him. One driver making his first visit to the track this year is 1:10 title contender Jilles Groskamp.  Describing the facility as ‘really impressive’ hightlighting the large and spacious pits, on the track he said ‘it looks easy but it is not’.   Adding that compared the other ENS tracks it is very different to drive but ‘very smooth’ and it has a ‘good flow’ to it.  Asked what are key elements of the track he said for him it was the hairpin after the sweeper at the end of the straight. Able to ride the curbing he said this was faster but as the curb is ‘not so smooth’ it has its risks.
